Work, Leisure and Faith Communities

LFF provides specialist services regarding people who abuse in the context of their work.

The Department for Children, Schools and Families (DCSF) uses LFF’s services in a variety of ways, primarily to provide individual assessments.  This work is now taking place under the auspices of the Independent Safeguarding Authority.

Following successful involvement in web based training for DCSF regarding safer staff recruitment, LFF helped design workshop materials and was involved in the delivery of training to such diverse organizations as Local Safeguarding Children Boards, independent schools. LFF continues to assist in the review and development of the materials in the light of legislative changes.  LFF is providing training to the new Independent Safeguarding Authority.

Leisure

LFF has provided advice to organizations such as Premier League on the development of policies and procedures to help safeguard children and vulnerable people.

Faith communities

LFF works with different faith communities to help them safeguard children and manage abusive behaviours.

To date LFF has assessed individuals and provided advice on the development of policies and procedures to safeguard children and vulnerable people to the Catholic Church in England and Wales, the Church of England, the Methodist Church and the Church of Scotland.
